History making season!

Although it may not be the result the Flyers were looking for, the players and entire organization has to keep their heads high as a result of what they accomplished in the 2013-2014 season. After starting out the season with the majority of their games on the road due to the the events of the summer, the Flyers were able to finish third in the South Division, and a birth in the HJHL playoffs. The season would include an incredible 9 game winning streak, see the organization win their first ever playoff series (4-1 over the Banff Bears), and a Flyer win the HJHL scoring title. The season would eventually end with a south division final loss to perennial powerhouse Okotoks Bisons in 6, a series that could have went the other way if a few more bounces went In the Flyers direction. A big congratulations have to be given to the four graduating players this year who demonstrated what it takes to be a Flyer on and off the ice. The up and coming Flyers have big shoes to fill in following the footsteps of Ryan Mitdtal, Alex Pronchuck, Keaton Lackten and Craig Rogers. The season couldn’t have happened this year if not for our sponsors, who found a way to help the team, even through the catastrophic events of the summer. Your generosity is truly appreciated, we can’t thank you enough. And to our fans, wow! You made our home games a great atmosphere to be a part of all year long, especially when you packed the rink for our playoff run!  The Flyers organization looks forward on building off this season, and hope to see you all back for 2014-2015 season.
