High River, AB (April 13, 2026) – The High River Flyers have announced that GM and Head Coach Jeff Gardner has stepped down from his current roles after spending the last two seasons behind the bench.

Flyers President Tim Bradbury thanked Gardner for his contributions both on and off the ice.

“We would like to thank Jeff for his dedication to our hockey club and community over the past two seasons”, said Bradbury. “Jeff has had two stints with the club. He took on the coaching role when the Flyers resumed playing again after our absence from Covid. He was with the team for two years. Basically, he started the team from scratch and built a strong team and good culture around the room. Jeff took a year out for work reasons before he returned again for the past two seasons.”

“I can’t thank Jeff enough for all his time and effort during the past two seasons, but I totally understand the reasons why he decided to step away from the bench.”

In Gardner’s recent two seasons with the Flyers, he would hold an 18-51-5 record in a span of 74 games.

The Flyers have now named Tom Bradbury the new Head Coach and GM of the Flyers, as he gets a promotion from his former role behind the bench.

“We are pleased to announce that Tom Bradbury will take on the role of head coach for the Flyers next season. We are currently in talks with potential assistants to join him behind the bench. Once they confirm and sign, we will be announcing them,” Flyers President Tim Bradnury said.
