High River, AB (April 27, 2026) – The High River Flyers have announced that goaltender Erich Baxter will be backstopping pucks for the Flock during the 2026-2027 HJHL season.
The 2025-2026 HJHL season saw Baxter complete his first full campaign with the Flyers after appearing in 16 games and making 575 combined saves. The Flyers’ rookie netminder from last season would pick up his first HJHL win on November 1, 2025, while on the road in Strathmore, playing against the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings and coming away with a 6-4 victory.

Flyers Head Coach Tom Bradbury is excited to have Baxter back with the team for his second season in the HJHL after being one of the bright spots last season.
“After his performances last season, it was a must to bring him back. He gave us a chance to win every night. Both of our goalies did, but unfortunately, we lost one due to aging out. We are extremely excited to have Baxter back. He’s still young and now has some experience in this league. The future is bright for him,” Bradbury said.
Baxter is also thrilled at the opportunity to don the Flyers uniform for a second season and could earn himself more playing time during the 2026-2027 HJHL campaign with Kaiden Fulton graduating from the HJHL at the end of last season.
“Super excited for next year, big things ahead,” Baxter added.
The Flyers are expected to make more roster announcements as the offseason rolls on.
