High River, AB (August 13, 2026) – The High River Flyers have announced that 2006-born forward Carson Grimeau will be returning to the squad for the 2026-2027 HJHL season.
Grimeau has suited up for the Flyers in two previous seasons, producing a combined 10 points (9G, 1A) in 60 games. Grimeau found the back of the net three times last season, including his first HJHL power-play goal.
Flyers Head Coach Tom Bradbury is comfortable with Grimeau’s game, and feels he will be able to thrive with a bigger workload this season.
“Gru is a guy we can use in any situation. He scored some key goals for us last year. To have him back is great for the team. He’s got two years of experience playing in this league now, and we will look to him playing a big role,” Bradbury said.
Grimeau isn’t shying away from the opportunity and welcomes a bigger workload while helping lead the next generation of Flyers as well as continuing to grow and produce with his returning teammates.
“I’m excited to see all of the guys from last year but also meet some new ones as well. I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice again and seeing what this team can bring to the league this year. With a bunch of new roles available this season, I’m really looking forward to putting in the work and seeing what can come out of it as a player and a teammate,” Grimeau said.
The Flyers will be back on home ice for a preseason meeting with the Coaldale Copperheads on September 19.
