High River, AB (December 12, 2025) – The High River Flyers are back in action this weekend as they host the Cannex Cochrane Generals tonight at 8:30 and then visit the Wranglers tomorrow night in Sylvan Lake.
The Flyers have yet to solve the Generals or Wranglers this season. The Flock met the Gens two weekends ago, with Cochrane playing host; unfortunately for the Flyers, the Generals would take the game with a 6-3 final. As for the Wranglers, the Flyers have only met the reigning HJHL champions once this season in a forgettable game for High River.
Flyers captain Wout Rehorst scored twice, and assistant captain Lucas Hughes added a goal in the last meeting with Cochrane, along with Hughes scoring the lone goal for the Flock in the single game played against the Wranglers during the 2025-2026 HJHL season.
Erich Baxter was a standout in the lone game against the Wrangles as he made 51 saves in the tilt. In the last meeting with the Generals, Kaiden Fulton stopped 42 shots to keep his team in the game.
Tonight’s game with the Generals will be held at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex with puck drop set for 8:30.
