High River, AB (September 26, 2025) – The High River Flyers host the Okotoks Bisons for the first time this season at Bob Snodgrass Recreational Complex tonight at 8:30 p.m.

Both Foothills teams started off the 2025-2026 HJHL season without a win. As both teams come into the game tonight with a 0-2-0 record, one team’s 0 will go away while the other will have its losing streak extended.

Flyers goaltenders saw a lot of shots as Kaiden Fulton stopped 37 shots in the home opener against the Medicine Hat Cubs, followed by a solid performance by Erich Baxter, who also made 37 saves while starting for the Flyers against the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings in the Flocks’ first road game of the season.

Lucas Gough leads the Flyers with three points (1G, 2A) and will look to continue his hot hands to start the season. Four other Flyers have two points entering tonight, with captain Wout Rehorst (1G,1A), Isaac Cayetano (2G), Ethan Burgeson (2A) and Emerett Norleen (2A).

The Flyers will also be on the road this weekend as they head to Coaldale for a Sunday night game at 5:00 p.m. to face the Copperheads.
