High River, AB (August 29, 2025) – The High River Flyers wrapped up their training camp this week and now look forward to back-to-back HJHL preseason games against the Mountainview Colts from Didsbury.
Head coach Jeff Gardner and Co-coach Tom Bradbury split the training camp between two teams. Both teams were showcasing their skills while showing some grit, which is what Gardner and Bradbury want from their team this season.

“I thought training camp was the best Flyers camp that I have seen yet. It was high-paced, skilled, and players were literally fighting for spots here. It was a good combination of skill and grit on the ice at Flyers main camp this season,” Gardner said.
The Flyers will now have a couple of weeks to analyze the training camp and determine who will be competing for a roster spot during the preseason. The Flyers will host the first of the back-to-back games on September 12th at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex with the puck dropping at 8:30 p.m.

Fans can expect to see a brand new mascot at Flyers home games, and the organization wants you to help name the new mascot. Visit the Flyers Instagram page to enter a submission.
