High River, AB (December 5, 2025) – The High River Flyers and the Carstar Okotoks Bisons will settle their Battle of the Foothills season series tonight in Okotoks, as each team has claimed two wins over the other.
The Flyers fell to the Bisons 6-0 in their last meeting, but took home the 5-4 overtime win the last time the two teams played at Murray Arena in Okotoks, where tonight’s game will be contested. Flyers captain, Wout Rehorst, claimed the overtime victory last time they were in Okotoks and has produced seven points (3G, 4A) in the four games played between the two.
Assistant captain Ethan Burgeson has also produced against his former team, as he has a combined seven points (4G, 3A) in the four games played. Kaiden Fulton made the start in both wins against the Bisons, helping lift the Flock past their rivals with a combined 104 saves in the two wins.
Tonight’s game will be the Flock’s lone game of the weekend, as tomorrow, Burgeson and Rehorst are headed to the 2025-2026 HJHL All-Star game.
