High River, AB (November 29, 2025) – The High River Flyers weren’t able to solve the Cannex Cochrane Generals tonight as they came up short in a 6-3 game on the road.

Kaiden Fulton made his second straight start and wasn’t at fault for the loss, as he was peppered with 48 shots, bringing his total to 99 shots in the last 24 hours. The veteran netminder has been a bright spot for the Flock all season long, giving them a chance to win each night.

The first period didn’t favour the Flyers as they finished the frame down 3-1. Captain Wout Rehorst cashed in on the power play for his 10th goal of the season for the Flyers’ lone marker of the period. Assistant captains Lucas Hughes and Ethan Burgeson would both collect points with the assists. Emmet Long, Jayden Barney, and Evan Malcom each scored for Cochrane in the first frame.

The Flyers would erase the Generals’ two-goal lead in the second period as Hughes picked up a power play marker 8:43 into the frame. McCallum Bakken added his first point of the night with the lone assist. Rehorst tied things up with 9:39 left in the period, Bakken picked up his second assist on the night, along with Nate Matiowsky picking up the primary assist.

The Generals closed out the period with a shorthanded goal from Diago Coelho, followed by a power play marker from Evan Sine to go up 5-3 heading into the third period.

The Flyers weren’t able to muster any more offence as the Generals added the only goal of the third period. Coelho picked up his second of the night to give Cochrane the 6-3 win.

Next weekend, the Flyers only have one game on the schedule when they visit Okotoks to face the Carstar Bisons on Friday. The Flocks’ next home game is set for December 12 when they host the Cannex Cochrane Generals.
