High River, AB (November 7, 2025) – The High River Flyers were denied back-to-back wins over the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings tonight as they fell 4-1 at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex.

Kaiden Futlon made the start between the pipes for the Flock, making 29 saves on 32 shots. Former Okotoks Bisons netminder Connor White made an appearance in net for the Kings.

The first frame would see most of the action as four of the five goals were scored in the period. Trey Kam got the Kings on the board first as he added the opening goal within the first three minutes of the game. The Flyers answered back on the power play over four minutes later with assistant captain Ethan Burgeson collecting his seventh of the 2025-2026 HJHL season. Captain Wout Rehorst picked up the lone assist on the power play marker.

The Kings would find the back of the net two more times before the first period came to a close, with Luke Nottveit and Chase Berg earning tallies.

The game wouldn’t see any more scoring until there were 15 seconds left in the game, and Koen Wainwright added an empty net goal for a 4-1 final.

The Flyers hit the road tomorrow for Okotoks as they aim to split the weekend series and take the season series lead over their long-time Foothills rivals in the Bisons.
