High River, AB (January 9, 2026) – The High River Flyers gained some momentum to start 2026 with a huge 9-4 win over the Ponoka Stampeders and look to continue the positive vibes heading into this weekend as they host the Coaldale Copperheads tonight, and then face the Rams at Rocky Mountain House tomorrow night.

The Flyers have yet to pick up a win against the Copperheads, but did give their South Division rivals a run for their money back at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex on October 3, 2025, as they came up on the wrong side of a 6-4 score.

As for the Rams, the Flyers have picked up one of their five victories over the team in the HJHL North Division as they solved the Rams 5-4 back on November 28, 2025, with assistant captain Ethan Burgeson picking up the game-winner in the second period.

Tonight’s puck drop at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex is set for 8:30.
