High River, AB (November 21, 2025) – The High River Flyers will meet the Carstar Okotoks Bisons and the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings, two teams they have picked up wins against this season, for their weekend matchups.
The Flyers will host the Bisons tonight at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex and look to take a stranglehold on the season series with their Foothills rivals, as they currently hold a 2-1-0 record against Okotoks. The Flock has won both on the road and at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex over the Bisons during the 2025-2026 HJHL season. The last time the two met, Flyers captain Wout Rehorst played hero as he scored the overtime winner in Okotoks, giving High River a 5-4 win.
As for the Kings, the Flyers started the month of November on the right foot as they beat the Kings on the road in Starthmore with a 6-4 win. Four different Flyers would have multiple-point nights, including Rehorst with two goals and McCallum Bakken getting a goal and an assist, with his goal ending up as the game-winner. Assistant captain Ethan Burgeson would also have a multi-point night with a goal and an assist, followed by Grayson Griffith, who had two helpers.
Both Kaiden Fulton and Erich Baxter have been solid choices in net for the Flyers this season. Fulton and Baxter have given the Flyers a chance to win every night as they have faced an incredible amount of shots this season, but have kept the scores close.
Game time for tonight’s game against the Bisons is set for 8:30 at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex.
