High River, AB (December 19, 2025) – The High River Flyers will look to close out 2025 on a high note as they host the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings tonight at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex and then head to Ponoka to face the Stampeders tomorrow night.

The Flyers haven’t found much success against the Kings in the most recent games, but do hold a win over the team from Strathmore back on November 1 at the Kings’ home arena. Captain Wout Rehorst would lead his team to the win with two goals, including the game-winner, in the win over the Kings. Since then, the Flyers and Kings met twice, with Strathmore outscoring the Flock 16-2.

As for the Stampeders, the Flyers have yet to meet the team from Ponoka this season and will face them for a second time after the start of 2026. Ponoka has struggled more than the Flyers this season, with their most recent game being a forgettable one as they fell 17-2 to the Carstar Okotoks Bisons.

Game time tonight is set for 8:30 at Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex
